Happy Birthday Cameron/ New Years!

CAMERON ASHLEIGH

Today was my baby's 3rd b-day! Cameron is our baby girl, well not anymore:( I can't believe she has been around for three years already! Awww my sweet Campa, Camalama, Cami, Campster,Camalama dingdong! ha! She is the baby that makes me want more babies!!;) Cam, you are bashful, sweet, cuddly, fun-loving, giggly, kind and always thinking of others! You are such a joy to be around and I love kissing your soft sweet chubby little cheekas!

Cam woke up bright an early, opened presents and ate a donut cake!

Then we went to get her ears pierced and yes this was totally her idea!
 I think I am ready.....
I am not so sure about this....
 shocked...
oh man that hurt! She cried for a minute, got a sucker and was excited about her earrings!
It was a fun day and a sad day for me... I love to see her grow up and experience new things, but I am sad as well that time goes so quickly. Birthdays always remind me to take in the short time I have with my kids, they don't stay little for long!

Here is a look at my Campy over the years...
                                                             Sweet girl!
I can still smell that "baby" smell...
                                                                     My littles

Cameron was such a sweet baby and is a very sweet little girl! We LOVE you Cameron Ashleigh!!!! Happy Birthday baby girl!!

Much love~ Mommy

Christmas

I am finally getting around to posting Christmas pics!  Yay! We have been SO busy that I am just now recovering! HA! Where to start??
One of my sisters has her birthday on Dec. 23rd, yes, I know..lucky her ;) So, we made our way to Louisville, Kentucky to my parents house to celebrate Alex's  birthday. Then we celebrated Christmas with the whole fam on Christmas Eve and it was a blast! The kids had so much fun with their cousins and all of the goodies they got! My mom is the best cook I know, which means we have lots of yummy food to eat all day! We just enjoying hanging out together, drinking tea and coffee and breaking up the occasional wrestling match the boys (little boys) get into.;)ha! It is literally like a zoo when we all get together at my parents.. there are not only 7 grandkids, but the oldest is 6 and the youngest 2! So, having a bunch of "toddler type" kiddos running around screaming, laughing, fighting, wrestling, giggling, it makes for an interesting time! We are SO blessed!

                                                               Alex and Hollyn
                                                               Mom and Marin
The tree and the two littles that woke up first ;)
Carson, Nolan, Brennan, and Peyton snuck into the shot ;)
                                                      Hollyn, Marin, Cameron and Peyton

                                                                   Dad and Carson

Dave and Mom getting the food ready!
                                                                     YUMMMMO!
It was a great couple of days with my family and then we turned around and did it all over again with Mike's family!
We raced home and started cooking and baking for Christmas day!
Yummy pecan scones.. and they turned out really well!;)
                                                                        Santa came!!
Yes, Santa was here,he left crumbs to prove it! ;)

Santa brought a cotton candy maker

Our friend Josh spent Christmas day with us and my kids LOVE Him!

After, the hurricane of Christmas day and the house looked like a bomb went off we packed up and went to Indiana on Sunday to do Christmas with Mike's fam.

This picture totally looks how I felt by then! ha!

Papaw setting up the race track with Nolan, what a blessed little boy to have a Papaw like that!

We had SO much fun visiting with family and friends and we are spoiled beyond the norm for sure! We are SO grateful to have so many people that love us and support us!
I know this was a SUPER long post, but tomorrow I have a little girl that deserves a whole post of her own!;) Hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your loved ones!

Much love~ lauren

Christmas Cookies

One of my favorite past times around Christmas is baking Shortbread cookies! Shortbread is my favorite cookie by far, maybe because I like the taste, and maybe it's all the memories I have of making it with my Grandma! Not everyone is a fan of Shortbread and that's ok... if you have never had it, it's an english cookie made from butter, sugar, flour and some vanilla. It doesn't have much of a taste, if anything  it is likened to a butter cookie? So, for the past few years I have started making them with my kids and their favorite part is decorating them! Here is a look at my kiddos and their cousins decorating their yummy shortbread cookies!

                                                              Peyton and Hollyn
Marin eating more of the icing then she is putting on the cookie! ha!

Nolan's proud creation  and no I  didn't have to bribe him for this picture! ;)
                                                               Looks good Holls!
                                                      Peyton's Christmas Star!
                                                             ha! My little Campa!
Look at juicy Marin sneaking some candies! I could just gobble her up!

I love that my kids are making some of the same memories that I made as a child. I really can not believe Christmas is just a few days away, it really snuck up on me this year! Happy last minute shopping and baking!

Much love~ lauren
